AGREEMENT.

Agreement made this 23rd day of the year 1937 between

Messrs. Jardine, Matheson and Company, Ltd., of Hong Kong,

on the one hand, hereinafter known as Jardines, and The

Commission on Aeronautical Affairs, Nanking, China, hereinafter

known as the Commission, on the other hand.

I. Jardines are hereby appointed to act as Receiving and

Forwarding Agents in Hong Kong for the Commission for the

receiving and forwarding of all goods authorized to be

received and forwarded by the Commission.

II. The duties designated to Jardines by the Commission will

be:-

A. To negotiate with the Hong Kong Government for the

necessary permits and facilities required by that body.

B. To take delivery, handle shipping documents, and re-ship

any materials or goods that may be required from time to

time by the Commission.

C. To assist the Commission in whatever manner possible

whenever requested by the Commission.

III. The Commission will appoint its own representatives at

Hong Kong to assist Jardines, and to transmit messages to,

Commission.

and instructions from, the Sommittec.

IV. The Commission will establish a revolving credit in

Hong Kong on which Jardines may draw for all expenses and

their fees incurred in the carrying out of the Commission's

orders.

V. In consideration of their services Jardines will receive

a sum equivalent to £300.0.0. per month from the

Commission for a minimum period of three months payable quarterly (as from 1st September, 1937) in Hong Kong

Dollars at the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation's

official rate for Telegraphic Transfer on the day payment

is made.
